WOMEN’S OLYMPIC QUALIFYING

To those outside the soccer world it may be a surprise to find out the Canadian Women’s National Team is one of the world's best. In 2012 the team had the chance to qualify for the summer Olympic games in London, all in front of a hometown crowd. The Olympic qualifying tournament was held in Vancouver, and it was our job to get soccer fans and families in those stadium seats, cheering on their country.

The campaign was a success, it connected with fans on a personal and emotional level. In fact, the tournament set an attendance record for a CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying match, and the final game held the second-largest attendance ever for a women’s international match. And most importantly, not only did the team qualify for the Olympics, but they went on to win the bronze medal.
